The Museum has been established in 1987 on the 100th anniversary of well-known linguist and historian Gr.Ghapantsyan. For almost 10 years the museum acted in the separate building near his birthplace and in school after Ghapantsyan occupying a separate floor.

Almost 300 main and subsidiary objects are preserved here –manuscripts, photos, books, works of art, private goods illustrating Ghapantsyan,s life and productive activity. The visitors are mainly students for whom the studies of the scholar concerning the Armenian language and genealogy of the Armenian nation are very instructive.
